Rome - The parodies keep on coming, as a "grocer" in Rome does his take on the Van Damme epic split video. No volvo trucks here though, as he uses two three-wheeled Ape Piaggios instead.

By now few people have not seen Van Damme's epic split video, made to promote the stability of Volvo's trucks. In fact, that video is now heading for 70 million views. Not to be outdone, many parodies have appeared on YouTube, including one by Chuck Norris. There was even a Gazan version all the way from Palestine, where they push the two cars, highlighting the drastic fuel and other shortages in the area. And now, the latest has been uploaded to YouTube by an Italian group going by the name of "Il Fenomeno." Describing themselves on Facebook as an "ironic and irreverent web series", they decided to try this epic feat themselves, but with an Italian twist. The video features "Ianiro the fruitseller", traveling around Vicolo del Cinque in Rome's Trastevere district, balancing between two Ape Piaggios (three-wheeled cars designed by the inventor of the Vespa motor scooter). He says that he has had his ups and downs, his fair share of Roman stone streets and potholes. He says he has a humble mind, able to understand that with a Volvo truck of 10 meters, in Vicolo del Cinque you do not get a "WTF." He then displays his innate talent by juggling while performing his epic feat, something Van Damme didn't think of doing. The video above has English sub-titles for those who wish to follow the dialogue. Anyone who missed the original with Van Damme can view it here.
