Cartersville - In what could be described as a fight of biblical proportions, a man and woman were recently arrested after physically assaulting one another after arguing about the 10 Commandments.
The couple was staying at a Georgia hotel when the incident occurred around 1am on Saturday morning, according to UPI. Eideard reports that the woman allegedly hit the man across the face with a Bible. The man subsequently slung the woman across the room, which resulted in a cut to the head and an injured foot. Police found blood in the room when they arrived at the scene and took the couple into custody. The man and woman were also reportedly intoxicated and had trouble speaking coherently. This is not the first time an argument about the Bible has led to a physical assault. The Smoking Gun reports of a 2012 incident where a 64-year-old woman struck her pastor in the head with a Bible over a verbal altercation in church.
