Dallas - The NBA trade deadline is quickly approaching and if you read the rumor mill, several players could be moved in the coming weeks. Luol Deng of Chicago is one player that could be moved and according to reports, several teams are showing interest.
Greg Price of the International Business Times has suggested that Dallas is one of the teams that could make a play for the All Star small forward. The Mavericks have struggled to bring in any big name free agents over the past couple of years and making a trade now could land them the talent they need to win the Western Conference. Deng is an excellent offensive player, but he can also dominate on the defensive side of the court, making him one of the most versatile players in the league and one that could help a team like Dallas compete against the likes of Portland and Oklahoma City in the West. Chicago could see some big changes to its roster by the time the 2014 NBA season tips off. Derrick Rose is missing another year with a knee injury, Carlos Boozer has never been a fan favorite, and the lack of scoring from the perimeter has hurt the Bulls even when Rose was healthy. It should be very interesting to see what NBA teams make moves, but it's clear Dallas must make a couple changes if they want to win another championship and trading for a player like Deng would be a great start to accomplishing that goal.
