A man being hunted nation-wide in America for killing a family in Colorado a month ago has been caught. Harry Carl Mapps was tracked and captured while holed up in an Roland, Oklahoma motel, Colorado Sheriff Kirk Taylor said.

Mapps is now in custody and was wanted on charges of shooting and killing a family of three. Reggie Tuttle, 51, his wife Kim Tuttle, 55 and their 33-year-old daughter, Dawn Roderick. They were found in their home in Rye, Colorado November 27. After they had been killed the house was burnt down and arson was found to be the cause of the fire. Mapps had been staying with the Tuttles and working for Reg Tuttles trucking firm. The motive of the killings is believed to be robbery. In addition to being charged with killing the family, Mapps will also face charges of theft, identity theft and forgery. On the day of the killings officials say he cashed cheques made out to one of the deceased. "Kim and Reggie would help anyone who needed it," neighbor Winnie Owens told media. "The hearts of everyone in this valley go out to that family." No details on the tracking and arrest of Mapps have been released.
