Shortly after defeating Miesha Tate at UFC 168, on Saturday evening, the president of the UFC, Dana White, said that Ronda Rousey will defend the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s bantamweight title against Sara McMann.
According to LA Times, the event will headline UFC 170 on February 22. Rousey said that she was not hurt during her fight with Tate, and that is why the company decided her next fight so quickly. According to Bleacher Report, Rousey also mentioned that she had taken a lot of time off, and she wants to fight again. She went on to say that right now she is in the best shape of her life, and she feels that now is the perfect to to go back. According to Sherdog, UFC 170 was supposed to be headlined by Daniel Cormier VS Rashad Evans, but now that Rousey is on the card, the bout has moved into the co-main event slot. McMann made her debut in the UFC in April, defeating Sheila Gaff. She remains undefeated. Rousey also remains undefeated.
