Oakland - The Oakland Raiders did show improvement during the 2013 NFL season, but clearly this team lacks the talent at just about every position to become a playoffs team and must add better players to compete in the AFC West.
One question that the fans, team, and experts will find out in April is how management feels about quarterback Terrelle Pryor. After failing with a trade for Matt Flynn, Pryor showed some positive signs in his first full year as a starter, but was it enough? Sports Illustrated and Walterfootball have the Raiders taking a quarterback with their top pick. Johnny Manziel and Derek Carr are the two names connected with their first round pick, but don't be surprised if Oakland doesn't trade down for more picks, a move that could land them more young talent to help rebuild a bit quicker. The interior of the offensive line also needs help and Gabe Jackson of Mississippi State is an excellent option in the second round. Jackson played well against tough competition in the SEC and has he size, strength, and football skills to excel at the NFL level. It's been awhile since this organization has had picks in the first three rounds and despite a need for more play makers, building a team through the trenches is necessary, especially with the troubles this team had the past two years. Look for the Raiders to address their need for more depth on the defensive line in the third round and Aaron Donald of Pitt is one player that fits their needs and could contribute immediatley.
