DownDay is one of the fastest growing country-rock bands in America. They released their sophomore single, "The Last Song," to country radio on January 6.

DownDay is made up of Rockey Don Jones on vocals and guitar, Christian Dean on vocals and lead guitar, Damon Shores on bass and Mike Martin on drums. They collaborated on this project with platinum-selling producer Steve Freeman, and they are signed to the record label, Render Records. Although the single may be quite lengthy, spanning almost 5 minutes, it is a solid vocal performance, where their vocals on this ballad are reminiscent of such lead singers as Scott Stapp from Creed and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback. DownDay's forthcoming album, After All These Years, is expected to be released on May 26, and it will feature Jonathan Cain, the keyboard player from the rock band Journey, on the title track.
