Just one year after making the NFL Playoffs, the Washington Redskins have fired their head coach and are looking for someone to lead this team into the future.

The biggest problem this past season was the inconsistent play of quarterback Robert Griffin and the play of the defensive unit. With the franchise sold on their young quarterback, finding some players that can make an impact on the other side of the ball is imperative and with no pick in the first round of the draft, adding a veteran free agent is likely. Jarius Byrd is likely done in Buffalo, but the talented safety will draw some big interest from several teams. The Redskins need help in the secondary and adding a play maker that can change a game would be huge. Owner Dan Snyder has never been shy about spending money and with the likely release of several players and the retirement of London Fletcher, Washington should be in spending mode this off-season. Bleacher Report has suggested the team adds Byrd, a move that would give the team a dynamic defender and at just 27 years of age, a player that could help rebuild a struggling unit and lead this team back into the NFL Playoffs in 2014.
