Chicago - The Chicago Bulls took a first step in changing over a roster that has yet to prove successful, especially in the NBA Playoffs, as they traded forward Luol Deng to Cleveland for Andrew Bynum and three draft picks.

The move allows the Cavaliers to rid themselves of a player that has caused troubles for the franchise on and off the court and despite giving up three picks in the draft, they get a terrific forward in Deng, a player that is selfless and will help this franchise with his offensive and defensive skills. Bynum has been an enigma since leaving the LA Lakers, but the young center could become a game changer for the Bulls, but only if he is mentally prepared to help Chicago. Bynum has played very little over the last 18 months and this could be a huge gamble for a franchise that has suffered injuries and inconsistent scoring from its top player over the past two years. The hope for Chicago is that Bynum and Derrick Rose can become a force in the Eastern Conference, but that won't happen until the 2014-15 NBA season. Deng will make the Cavaliers better, but both teams have problems and this trade could be a blessing for all parties involved.
