Sega and Creative Assembly have officially announced that 'Alien: Isolation' is in the works and is expected to be released sometime in late 2014.
Alien: Isolation will be a first-person horror survival game with elements of stealth action. Unlike previous games in the franchise; the gameplay setup will be inspired by the eerie tone of the Ridley Scott film rather then the action tone of the James Cameron film. Not much about the story has been revealed other then a simple premise of what to expect. The game will be set after the events of Alien and will have players take on the role of Amanda Ripley-McClaren, Ellen Ripley's daughter, who is searching for her missing mother. The announcement has sharply divided gamers along with critics between those who are whiling to give it a chance and those who still are disappointed over the failures of Aliens: Colonial Marine and Aliens vs. Predator. Alien: Isolation will be the fourth game in the franchise published by Sega since they acquired the rights.
