Cleveland - Cleveland is still looking for that next player to lead them to the NBA Playoffs. Since LeBron James took his game to South Beach, this franchise has struggled on the court, despite adding several good young players.
The front office will once again have a high pick in the first round in the 2014 Draft and with the recent problems with Andrew Bynum, it should come as no surprise that a center is needed, especially one with good defensive skills and a banger on the glass. Bleacher Report writer Jonathan Wasserman has suggested that Indiana big man Noah Vonleh is the top options for the Cavs. The youngster has made a big impression in his freshman season with the Hoosiers and has jumped up draft boards all across the league, but at 6'10" he is more the size of a power forward and that could create problems down the road. Another option and a player that could help this team finally get over the hump is Joel Embiid of Kansas. This youngster has legitimate NBA size and the overall game to make an instant impact, especially on the defensive end of the court, something that could turn the Cavaliers from pretenders into contenders in 2014 and give the fans something to cheer about next season.
