Ron Kinney, a 67-year-old waiter at West Hollywood's French Quarter Restaurant, received a tip over Christmas time, but he thought the tip, which was for thousands, was fake.
According to Christian Post, Kinney said that he guesses that he was naive. He went on to say that he thought that a customer just had too many drinks and they didn't realize what they were doing. Kinney said that people make mistakes and this happens all the time. According to San Francisco Chronicle, Kinney said that the tip was from "Tips for Jesus," a man who was been traveling the country leaving massive tips. Kinney said that when he looked at the credit card receipt, he did not recognize the moniker. According to Daily Mail, the tip may have been up to $7,000. Kinney said that the money would have been useful to have, because it could have helped him with retirement.
