Lichtenburg - People in the North West frequently complain about the bad state of the roads. Provincial MP's decided to inspect it and while there they witnessed an accident first-hand.
According to iol.co.za, the North West province's public safety portfolio committee chairman, Mahlakeng Mahlakeng, was doing an interview on camera. Mahlakeng told the SABC that the Lichtenburg-Koster road continued to be a problem. “As we speak, the road continues to kill our people,” he said. “The road continues to be more expensive ... The last amount that we were given by the department was R220 million, that was spent already on this particular road.” And then, a car towing another car had an accident in the background, almost killing a bewildered pedestrian.
